most of chiswick is in hounslow - the parts close to Stamford Brook and Turnham Green would be caught by the Hammersmith and Fulham area.I didn't know Chiswick was in Hounslow.
Average prices across the borough a quite low. The crappy bits must be pretty cheap.
and i believe that the north part of chiswick park is covered by the Ealing borough.0 -

Land registry has a significant lag, so is only now reflecting the Nov/Dec sales.
The July release will tell us what is happening now.
North/South divide seems to be opening up. Brit1234's area of London is soaring though.
So if, say I wanted to know what house prices were in December, I'd be more interested in the land reg figures from april/may.
Good to know.

surprise surprise... december had price falls.
interesting though that detached houses overall generally arnt falling.
It's one of the reasons to use year-on-year figures. They strip out seasonal distortions.
Year-on-year prices in the country on average fell and they fell in nominal terms in almost every region (London and East England excepted). In real, i.e. inflation adjusted, terms prices fell in every region of the country although even then a few boroughs of London and other council areas saw rises above inflation.
Overall, prices are falling gently in most parts of the country, even adjusting for inflation. In a few areas that rely heavily on Government spending they are falling quite a bit faster with the big falls in those areas still to come.
Detached houses fell in price on average but by less than other types of houses and flats.0 -

So it's areas with fewer former-NRK employees that are rising, those that had more branches are falling. It's a theory worth testing, certainly.0
