Hi just a quick question.
If I'm looking at switching a bank account and not planning to change the direct debits and stuff myself, does the new or old bank do this for me? thanks

New bank.
They make the request on your behalf once you hand them the signed instruction.
It is usually a good idea to print a copy of your current direct debits and standing orders if you don't already have a list and keep a check on both accounts, ticking off the list as and when instructions are transferred to the new bank (particularly for direct debits).0
