Anyone got a Post Office mortgage in London recently?

If so can you tell me which company they use to do their valuations?

    As Bank of Ireland is the lender it is likely to use a panel of surveyors, or use a co-ordinator like E.Surv to do surveys and valuations and to run its panel.

    Do you need to know about a specific firm? If so, why?

    Thanks for the reply.

    I am currently trying to get a mortgage through Clydesdale Bank, who have used EServ to value the property. The problem is EServ have valued it under the agreed price so the bank won't lend on it.

    I am now thinking of doing another mortgage application through Post Office who were my second choice in the hope that their valuers will value the property higher.
    Sounds like they may very well use the same company though if you are correct...

    Why do you want to overpay in this market?? can you not get the seller to lower as most people will have the same problem..
    It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
    Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
    If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
    If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
    If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
