Reverse Payment on Credit Card

Basically I bought something from http://www.stayclip.co.uk and have not recieved anything after 2 weeks. I've tried emailing twice (which has a 'Guaranteed 24hr response'), no reply. I've also tried calling the phone number which seems to not exist - so I'm guessing I've been scammed or the company has gone out of business but is still charging cards for orders placed?

Is there any way to claim my money back - it was only £25 (and charged in USD on my bank statement and converted to GBP), so ended up costing £26 odd. My card was charged on the day I placed the order.

I'm with HSBC if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

Paul.

  • Can't help with your problem but what's the difference between a Stayclip and a Keyring, apart from the price?

What you should do is call HSBC Credit Cards and explain that you have not received the goods you purchased and have not received any response to the emails you sent to the vendor.

What will happen is HSBC will enact what is called a 'chargeback' procedure through Visa/Mastercard. Basically, you should get a refund from HSBC in a fairly short period of time.

I work for one of the other big banks and the procedure is the same across the board.

It was ordered for the collar stays rather than the method of holding them tbh, just wanted some metal collar stays and they seemed a reasonable price compared to elsewhere (although obviously not now :( )
