    For goodness sake - do the right thing. You should have got BR sign off when you had the work done but did not, either though ignorance, bad advice from your builder, or a desire to save money/cut corners.

    Finish the job you started 8-9 years ago and get a certificate, thereby not only making any sale easier, but more importantly proving the work was done properly.

    it was bad advice from the builder, also dissapeared half way through the job even though he was recommended. it was mainly the roof spec IIRC is different to what the architect had planned for.
  • There will obviously be a cut off point. If you bought a house that had had an extension say 30 years ago, would you ask for, or expect to see the building regs certificate?

    Taking what they say literally Halifax and many others do want it but Nationwide and a few others don't. Personally I try to use common sense.
