Just wondering?? Can I open another ebay account..

I have been listing on Ebay for 5 years but just recently have had a spate of bad feedback/stars - particularly due to late postage times. I hold my hand up here and yes, some of my items have been delayed in getting sent out but I did state in the listings that I would take between 8 -10 working days to post. However people have still left me low stars for the timings!
Ebay have given me an account restriction of $66.00 per month, and to be honest its a pain in the bum!
I have been thinking about opening up another ebay account and starting again, but am I allowed to do this? Can I link my paypal to more than one ebay account? or is this frowned upon because I have selling restrictions just now??

You talk in dollars , are you a US seller as my advice can only relate to ebay.uk as that is what I know.

On ebay.uk if you are suspended or restricted on one account you should not be using another account to get round that. So although you cna have another account technically you will be in breach if you use it to avoid the restrictions. If caught then all your accounts will be suspended.

However, once you get up and running again then yes you can have another account and you can link up to 8 to a paypal account.

If you can't post any quicker than 8-10 days then it is possible that your stars will not get better, buyers don't really care what you put in your listings and will just relect their own experience when asked ot leave stars and feedback. Realistically unless you can materially improve your dispatch procedure then you may have to rethink selling on ebay.

Also, by delaying dispatch so much you do realise you have given up seller protection with paypal don't you? That could easily be a lot worse in the long run than being banned from ebay.

However, if you cna start shipping in no more than say 2 days then use your sales to start pulling back your stars. Make sure each and every items you sell from the small number you are allowed gets shipped instantly, and stick to it. It will take a while but your stars will start to get better steadily if you do that.

I will take into account all your advice there and am trying to get the stars back up again.
