Hi, I was wondering if someone more knowledgable than me could help me with my old laptop (hp g6062ea) that freezes intermitently.

I'm 99% sure it's not software as I dual boot vista and ubuntu, and it happens equally in both, and I don't think it's an over-heating issue, as it sometimes happens within seconds of turning on (from cold), and at other times can run for hours with no issue.

When it freezes it I can literally do nothing with it, the screen stays as it is, and if I'm playing sound when it freezes, it'll go like a stuck CD until I reboot. I have left it on overnight and it didn't sort itself out.

If there's any more information that could help, please ask.

Thanks
I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!
