Advice for hosting a fundraising event
Options
Hi All,
I joined this evening in the hope of getting a little advice. I am hosting a fundraising disco on 8th April and have so far managed to sell 87 of the 120 tickets available.:j
People have been great with donations of raffle prizes, a free DJ and free hall (if I get them enough bar sales), so now with just under 2 weeks to go its all systems go...
I am decorating the hall and doing the catering myself, I have catered quite a few parties before for friends and family (the maximum was 60 people eek) but the decorations, table cloths and plates etc have always been provided by the hosts - this time I need to do it myself, so can anybody give me tips on where best to get disposables, balloons and hopefully helium at a reasonable prices. I've been browsing around online and most things seem quite pricey (£4 for one disposable tray?), I am obviously on a very tight budget so that I raise as much as possible so any advice you can give would be great.
Thank you in advance.
Sam
P.S. If you are interested in who and what its all about, I'm helping to raise money for Hope 4 Thomas, this is a friend who's son needs to have a life changing operation that is only available St Louis, USA, if you want to know more about it there is a website (but I can't put the link here), so let me know and I'll send you the details.

Hi,
Just wanted to say thank you, I got everything from the £1 shop and ebay. The night was a great success and we raised over £1100 for Hope 4 Thomas.
