garmin edge 705-upload problem

are there any garmin edge users who could help please? I have an edge 705 and have only used it three times so far. went on a bike ride today and tried to upload it from the edge to my pc but it keeps saying-failed- and reason given is temporarily moved. It is there in the history folder but I just cant seem to get to it. I have tried (i think) to convert it to a gpx file and import it that way but it still wont work and I dont know what I am doing wrong. If someone could help I would be grateful
