any one make them or find them in the shops?

    Oh I used to love these, so good. They used to sell them in the supermarkets but haven't seen one in years.

    I found a recipe for this in the Dairy book of home cooking ... a new edition for the 90s still going strong ! or is this the sort of thing that tastes better brought from a shop?

    I had that edition too- think it was 1993, I wrote my
    hospital apointments in it when I was having D3 he is 18 this
    year :)

    I have made a big one on a few occasions and its turned out ok. I will have a look for the recipie but think its on pc at work but did a v quick google and theres one here

    Waitrose sell them but they are pricy £2.29 for 2

    wow, i didnt know waitrose sold them. i think that price is cheap compared to kebab shops and none of the kebab shops round here sell them

    I've made them in the past-both the large and small ones. They are quite easy to do and you can freeze them once baked before you soak them in the rum syrup-in fact I might make one if MIL comes over on Sunday.
  • i had one of those before and it tasted like pi$$..it was from a kebab shop
