Post-Grad student, funds have run out but bills to pay!

Hi,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm a post graduate student who's funding has finished prematurely, but I still have bills to pay, most importantly a mortgage.
I'm looking into my options regarding my last 3/4 months of the course while I write up. I've approached my bank (barclays), but they could only offer a possible extension in my overdraft of £1000 charged at 8.9%.
I don't think I'm entitled to any benefits from the government as I am technically still a student.
Also remortgaging for extra money is probably out of the question as I don't want them to realise I don't have an income at the moment.
I have a partime job which will be finishing soon, this has been helping almost break even, but is interfering a great deal with my PhD.
Help! Can anybody offer any advice?
Thanks,
Iorek.

Is it possible to approach your institution about some part time teaching hours? (or another institution?)
Approach a bank for a Career Development Loan.
Speak to your mortgage company and ask if you can take a payment holiday for a few months (probably last option)
Can you take a break in your phd studies in order to work for a few months - most places are flexible in completion times for phd's due to the fact they want the research points!0
