Great news
Definitely Freecycle. Our washing machine finally died on Monday (it had been ill for a while), I put the call out on Freecycle that evening and by Wednesday lunchtime we had a fab new machine that was younger and smarter than our previous model! We also have a huge sofa and matching armchair, swing for the children, sofabed, two great big cupboards and loads of other sods and sods all from FC. We've given loads away too, I hasten to add!
It's amazing what becomes available when people know you're in need. You can always ask for little bits and pieces for Christmas and birthday - I'm thinking towels, pans etc, and the charity shops are worth a look too.
Have fun!If you can't be a good example, be a dire warning

oooh just remembered, internacionale or au naturale if you have one has great towels on bogof at the mo, i bought red ones and i'd been strugglling to find a nice shade of red that wasn't orange. think the huge bath sheets were £12 and hand towels were £4 so not even that expensive anyway. just remember to buy in seperate transactions as it's the cheapest one free!0
