Balance transfer

Sorry if this is a daft question but:
i have just transferred a balance from one card to another. First time i have done this. Checked online on both accounts & it seems the balance transfer has gone though ok, only prob is that my balance is showing on both accounts. Is it simply that i need to keep checking until one disappears? I only ask as i need to pay an amount to my 'old card' which i worked out, by 6th april. I did everything online, & it did say it can take up to 10 days for the transfer to take place, but it seems its happened already.

The transfer itself, via BACS, takes 3 days. You should allow an extra day though, because many lenders only update their systems overnight.
