Send faulty Android 2.2 Tablet to China???

An Android 2.2 Cortex A8 Tablet I purchased from Wetech Global has been stuck on the touch screen Calibration screen or just goes blank for ages (even when fully charged) after I deleted an account using the factory reset.
The warranty address is China, but I really don't want to post it there in case I don't get anything back! If I send it as signed-for international post & then I have proof they received it, would that help me reporting them if they don't repair it/refund me/send it back?

Any advice would be most appreciated!

P.S. Sorry I haven't made any helpful comments on any other threads since I joined - I can only use this site on library PC at the moment & don't hav much tiome
