Any suppliers not charge to install a prepayment meter?

I have credit meters for gas and electricity at the moment but would prefer prepayment meters.

I don't have arrears or problems with credit; I just find prepayment meters easier (even though I am aware of all the downsides with them).

Sooo, I'm hoping you folks can help.

I know Ebico charge £52 per meter - is that pretty standard or do some fit them for free?

    British gas didn't charge us

    Sorry, didn't read it properly, we had ours swapped from repayment to normal meter.

    BG don't charge for credit to prepayment either.

    Most suppliers don't charge to install prepayment meters in fact it's normally the other way round i.e. charging for them to be removed. I wasn't aware of any suppliers that charged for this until I read this thread!
