IP address conflict

Hi any advise would really be appreciated. There are 3 laptops in our house due to work etc, we changed to Orange for our internet provider and ever since we are having probs connecting wirelessly to the internet even with an ethernet cable its hit & miss! We are all getting messages saying to re-set the wireless adaptor and also that there is an IP address conflict. Also only 1 laptop can be on the internet at one time. As you can probably surmise from this email I am not very techie so I don't understand it at all. Should I be contacting Orange?
Thanks in advance J

Did you receive a new Router with your Orange account?
If so, sounds like DHCP is not configured. DHCP Server should be Enabled.
If we know the model of the Router we could show you how but a general guide is here

That is almost a given with Orange.;)0 -
It's a fair guess that your computers are already configured to look for an IP address automatically but it wouldn't hurt to check.
There is a guide here:
http://socrates0.blogspot.com/2011/01/how-to-configure-netgear-wireless-n150.html
With one of your machines plugged in using the Ethernet lead, you can pretty much jump to the paragraph which startsOpen IE6/IE7 or Firefox browser and type 192.168.1.1, a window will pop up & ask for username & password. Default username is ‘admin’ & default password is ‘password ‘ both in lowercase letters. (For security reasons, the router has its own user name and password.) next you will come to the screen as seen below. The password can be changed later.
Once you ensure the box:Select check box ‘Use router as DHCP server’
Is checked, the remainder should already be okay. Most of the rest is advanced stuff you're not too interested in unless you have further problems or want to lock your network down more securely.0
