They are charging you 9.369p per unit (about nine-and-a-half pence). In addition you have an about £7.50 per month standing charge (paid through tier 1 charges.)

As this is a catch-up bill you may have saved money - you have only paid tier 2 prices for your catch-up. This is probably moot - as it is an electricity bill you will have paid all the earlier tier 1 units in a previous bill anyway.

Have they increased their prices recently as this can give odd bills.

You've only got one actual meter reading in there, so you don't know what your real usage is. Take a meter reading yourself a week after the last one and you'll get an idea of what your usage is. It has been very mild over the last week, but unless you have electric heating, that won't have made a big difference to your electricity use.

Not concerned with usage so much as i am concerned whether they are charging me correctly, i have Dyscalculia and these tables, numbers and other stuff are meaningless to me, i don't know what they mean nor the amounts they say i owe are supposed to mean, bills have always confused me to the point of usually having to go to the citizens advice bureaux for help on understanding them.

Standard tariffs are rarely the best deals, but you really need to know your usage to be able to shop around. If you have an old bill with an actual reading on it, something like a year old would be ideal, then there's plenty of people on here can figure out an estimated annual usage from that, which can be used in the comparison sites, or will just put your mind at rest that you do not have unusually high use.

they were usually £70 per quarter, this bill above is actually based on a reading, for a period of 6 months, and from some peoples bills on here i don't think its too bad considering gas is £89 for 6 month too, based on a reading.

I will see if i can find a paper bill somewhere. Thanks.
