Farmers' stores are usually pretty good, if you have any in your locality. Otherwise, DIY sheds might beat the garden centres, though many will fight shy of the largest bags, I think, and they won't have anything esoteric.0

For smaller quantities look at wilko's or any local pound shop you may have. For larger quantities i.e. 20kg bags i get mine from ebay for circa £25 delivered0

Cheapest is usually a B&Q DIY / Wilkinson sort of place unless you have an allotment and they have a society which places bulk orders. How much do you need every year and want to store? The application rate is 4oz a square yard for planting, 2ozs sq yd for top dressing 140 grammes / 70g sq metre. I store what's left of a 2.5kg box in a plastic container to keep it dry.

My potash is just wood ash from our bonfire... I've spent the day spreading it on all sorts of things. Peonies, soft fruit and stuff.... it's free

Aldi had some blood 'n fish bone in their store last week and I remember it was a large box and the price seemed good, although can't remember. I didn't get a box as I have enough already.0
