I don't know that it's £50 - the size one down (23" instead of 26") is £27.99, so I didn't think the next size up was as expensive as £50. Only the 23" is on their webiste:

but they have more choice in store.
Hi Anna and thank you for your input. I did check with the store and they quoted £50.00 for the larger case. Just as I was about to order, I came across this thread, clicked on the link and saved myself about £50.00.
PS I too was surprised that the smaller case is about half the price

Went in Matalan yesterday to buy 2 of the medium sizes @ £45 each, only had the one so decided to leave it and look online once home.
Checked a few sites and Argos had the medium for £30 each and a £5 voucher, so gladI didn't get them at Matalan after all.
Just hope they hold up while on holiday.
Good tip about the handle suzi

I've just bought two of these: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/2863599/Trail/searchtext%3ESUB+ZERO.htm

They're perfectly sized for taking in the cabbin with RyanAir, so no need to check in. They're surprisingly roomy too and should do fine for one person for a week's summer hol. They really are light too. :)

Admittedly the online pics don't look that good but instore they ain't that bad.
Oh and the appeal is they are lightweight, good priced and for what it's worth, a 10 year guarantee.
