Well i have bought 1 of theses suitcases for my holiday and they are really lightweight and they look good and they are actually stronger than they look.

Just a word of warning with these suitcases, if you can, try & find a way of securing the pull-out handle before you travel. I bought one of these from Argos last year when they were half-price, as I take everything but the kitchen sink when I go away & wanted a lightweight suitcase to begin with!

Although I fully retracted the handle before I checked it in at the airport, when I got the other end, it had obviously been pulled out & used to handle the suitcase with, which had then bent the handle out of shape & it will no longer retract at all. I can't find a way of bending it back. When I tried to claim at the airport, they basically will only pay out for damage to the body of a suitcase, anything else like handles, wheels, straps, etc are specifically excluded & my travel insurance policy had a £50 excess, therefore I couldn't claim.

I love the suitcase itself, but now I can't use it & I think its a bad design fault that the handle doesn't lock away anywhere. I'm sure it couldn't be that difficult to put a handle on with some form of button release to keep it secure. Its also difficult to use when full, as because the handle doesn't lock in place, you can only pull it behind you, you can't push it, as that just pushes the handle back in. Sometimes, when you need to negotiate obstacles, its easier to push it but you can't with this design.

    S xx

:TJust about to buy 2 of these suitcases online @ £50.00 each when I somehow stumbled on Naturlee's thread. Thanks Naturlee, when I clicked on your link I discovered that Argos had them on offer at £29.99 each. My local Argos branch had only 2 left so I reserved them and have just picked them up. With the £5.00 Argos voucher thrown in for spending over £50.00, it was almost like BOGOF.:T

They have these (or very similar ) in Matalan, so check the prices there too.

Also check TG Hughes - I think I've seen them cheaper there.

I bought mine in Matalans, just returned from Turkey with the cases no problems. I did put luggage straps and put around the case length wise, and when i checked the cases in put the strap over the handle.

£50.00 for the same case there. That's why I said that it was like BOGOF when I got 2 for £59.98 with a £5 voucher thrown in.:)

I don't know that it's £50 - the size one down (23" instead of 26") is £27.99, so I didn't think the next size up was as expensive as £50. Only the 23" is on their webiste:

but they have more choice in store.
