Car Pricing

Hi, we bought a car yesterday - used from a main dealer, for £7k, after the trade in on our old one, priced £7825 in the car window. We were happy.
We got home and looked it up on the website to show some friends, and it was listed there at £7k starting price.
My husband had seen it at that price when researching the car, but didn't realise it was the same car, not having noted the registration. Assumed it was a different model, because the difference in price.
We have both lost a night's sleep worrying that we have been ripped of for about £800, which we cannot afford to lose unnecessaily.
I am going to ring them this morning, but wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this?
Thanks.

You were happy to buy the car at the price you were told....so you were most definitely not ripped off.
If you wanted to save the £800 then you should really have been a lot more careful eg looking at the numberplates, researching prices on-line, etc.
Had your oh checked things out then you wouldn't be here. Divorce them.
You're having 'buyer's remorse'......get over it.
Really ...we've all done similar.....learn to love yourself and your new car.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
If the website had listed it at £8500, would you have gone back and given them the difference? One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

You can try and go back they may refund the difference but they are under no compulsion to do so. It would just be good will.
I'm afraid it's a lesson learn't always do your research,'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Its very common for retailers of any kind to have different web prices to those in store, or in this case on the forecourt. The only one's you should be kicking is yourself for not doing enough research first. As the 2nd post stated you were completely happy with the price at the time of purchase so you have not been ripped off.0

The lesson learnt is...
"Once bought... STOP looking"
You were happy with the price when you bought it, so you haven't lost £800 at all.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
They could have changed the price after you agreed to by it. Then someone else sees it and contacts the dealer to be met with - "that ones just been sold, but we do have........."(".)0
