Water very rarely goes off unless
    1) pipes freeze - where are you? Is it cold?
    2) someone turns off the stopc*ck - are you in a block? Where are the mains taps?
    3) there's a leak elsewhere - can you see escaping water?????

Are you reporting the issues IN WRITING? By all means (indeed, loss of water I certainly would) report it by phone, but ALWAYS follow up with a letter addressed to the landlord at the addres on the tenancy agreement. Have you done that with earlier issues?

See Shelter advice here regarding getting repairs done.

I'm afraid you signed a contract and are bound by it till it expires. However, you should enforce YOUR rights.

You can also call Environmental Health (or the private tenancy officer) at the council if you have no water and the LL does nothing FAST.

Please don't delete your question in future. It, along with the answers and discussion can help others in a smilar position. Besides that, it's not very interesting to come on and see it all deleted with incomprehensible answers interspersed.

And to add to tortoise above, having taken the time/trouble to offer help/advice, it is always interesting to hear how a problem was resolved, and whether the advice offered was useful or not.
