Redundancy, iva and income support

Hello,
I've an IVA of £22k, my redundancy package is £24k. If i pay IVA off can i still claim income support?
(child under 7, am on a career break).
Money will go in bank then out to pay IVA so will be in bank for a day or so.
Do i need to tell benefit office?
Thanks

You can only usually pay off priority debts without it being classed as deprivation of capital. You need to get the agreement of the JCP before you start paying off your debts.Gone ... or have I?0

Anyone got a positive response when writing to JCP about paying off an IVA and debts with redundancy pay whilst on income support? I've writing my letter and getting the evidence ready to post tomorrow0
