    You can also buy preloved nappies. EBay don't allow them any more but if you google there are a number of other UK sites which specialise in this. You could also advertise for them on nct, net mums, gumtree sites, etc, or if very lucky you might get some on free cycle or as hand me downs from friends.

    If money was an issue, I'd buy a few using the Local Authority cash back scheme and see if I got on with them. If I did, I'd use the money I would be spending on disposables to buy an extra nappy every couple of weeks until i'd built up a big enough stash to go over completely to reusables. (you'd be using fewer disposables if combining with a few washables so would be saving some money per week). And as others have said you can always resell once your family is complete to recoup some of your original outlay.
