Your consumer rights lie with Currys, but it won't harm to speak to Sony first - I've previously had excellent customer service from them for similar problems.
They should be willing to replace it under warranty, unless it's just a software or configuration problem, but it doesn't sound like it is.0 -
thankyou fwor
in some ways sony would be better, currys gave me mega hassle getting it. it was a replacement for my old laptop that broke but was covered under the sogabsc 347:j0 -
Go straight back to Currys, Sony may offer some advice but they won't take it any further.
When you say it turns off, does it shut down gracefully or just die (then you are presented with the usual - Windows did not shut down properly on startup) From what you say it just dies.
This is a sign of overheating. How do you use it? Is it on a flat surface or on your lap. Maybe called a lap top, but it's not designed for laps.
As only a month old and it's turning off, it's not fit for purpose - take it back to Currys to fix or replace.0 -
its on a flat wooden surface.
it literally just switches off. not looking forward to returning to currys they were just about hopeless with the last one
