I had a chat with car dealer today..
I would like to buy Nissan Quashqai 1.6 petrol Acenta...
Not new one i m interested.. but used one,.
sale price is £11,495 27k mileage 08 reg 2008
Also I need to trade my car as well...
my car is fiat pander 1.2dynamic
they said it is worth £1k only... sadly.... ( 2004 model, small dent)
So they offered me £10,495 cash.. ( i dont want to use any finance, want to buy by cash)
it was over my budget.
Re - negotiated.... they offered me £10k..
still over my budget,.I said.... politely.
then I left there....
30mins later,, they rang me.... they offered £9,750 ..
I said... if £9,500 , I will seriously consider ....
I think they will...
Still i dont know this is good deal....or not...

above website shows sort of guide line...
According to their site, retail price was £1k less than the dealer...
So made me re-think.....
Any ADVICE ,,, More than welcome....
Many thanks

Your's could be worth up to £1500 on a trade in against a car worth only £10500, so cost to change would be in the order of £9000
So, you could push for the extra £500, and be left with your car, and no deal, or you could hold out for £9500, get a car you like, and see if they'll throw in 6 months tax, and a tank of petrol.
Depends on how nice the car is, and how much you want it.
Does it have an MOT yet, or is that due ?0 -

Have you tried some of the car supermarket websites to see how the price from the dealer compares? As the supermarkets tend not to negotiate you could use those as a benchmark for whether the price is reasonable. Fords of Winsford for example doesn't seem a million miles away from your original £11,495 starting price

Have a look on autotrader to see what a 2004 Panda might fetch (for a private sale) which will give you an idea of how reasonable the trade in price is.
You don't mention whether you are buying from a Nissan dealer - if you are, you might want to factor in whether the Nissan warranty is worth paying a few pounds extra for. If anything does go wrong, my view it is (generally) a lot less hassle getting repairs done under a manufacturers warranty than a third party warranty (or worse still, trying to argue for repairs under the sale of goods act if you do not buy a warranty at all).0 -
And car mats................make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
