Change of registered car owner
Hia
I've been given a car by a family member. I'm the new registered keeper, but i want to be the registered owner.
With the car being gifted to me how do i go about this as there is no bill of sale in my name.
Its creating problems with getting my insurance online
Cheers

I do not think that there is anything formally that proves car ownership.Mortgage free
Vocational freedom has arrived0 -
Apparently the owner is the last person with a bill of sale?0

Bill of sale, letter from your relative saying you are the owner.
That should do it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

There's defintely no such thing as a registered owner (just the registered keeper). If you've been given it then its yours. No different to if they gave you anything else.0
