Re avast5 folder, if it is an update over the old avast installation (5) then the folder doesn't change, to prevent problems with reg entries etc.
New installations get and avast folder (no number) to prevent this problem in later versions.
Site seems down at the moment...
EDIT: Realised that the image is from a Mozzila articlie
If you PM me the site link, I can report it to avast...-Scott-

Delayed reply!
Everything has been ok since.
Thanks again RussJK I am on Avast 6 and have added Addblock plus which seems good - might speed up websites loading a bit too?

Thanks for the followup. I'd say in general the adblock may actually slow things down negligibly as it has to parse the subscription list (which they optimise in some way to minimise any performance issues), but would speed up pages where the ads are heavy or flash based.
As for Firefox 4, I think I'm going to wait it out for now. Many complaints about it acting strange. I've always been a late adopter, and until software companies stop giving out buggy software with major releases then I don't think that's going to change0 -
Thanks again!
Will hold out with firefox for now then!If it aint broke don't fix it and all that!!

By the way just look in the bottom corner of your picture and why is your shield red? Did you have your firewall or something switched off at all?"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

It's a stock photo of the alert, hosted by Mozilla - the OP just used it as an example of what the threat looked like0
