Credit card settlement?

Hi there, I'm after some help on a credit card I have had for a long time now. I got the card when I was 18 and pretty much blew it all fairly quickly but made regular payments until they said that the card could no longer be used for whatever reasons they gave. I've been paying it off ever since, sometimes larger payments to clear chunks off, but being skint all the time I couldn't do it for long. I was on an agreement for a year where interest was reduced to 0.75% or something and payed £20 a month, but still almost 5years later, I owe MORE then I ever spent on the card.

Currently It is just over £2000 and if I added the payments I've made over the past few years it would probibly work out more then the money I owe now.

I have asked for a settlement figure but was told Barclaycard don't do that, but in September I am going to college full time and will no longer be able to work as much so I'm desperate to clear all my debts now, but £2000 is impossible. Is there anything I can do to get a settlement?
