What's maximum size of overseas packets ?

someone just asked me f I post to Europe , well I don't normally, but I looked up the cost on the RM site and something else worried me :

it seems to say that no packet can be more than 900mm in combined length/width/depth , and this item would be pushing that limit .

but I couldn't find any other way of sending it (via RM anyway )

    gives the acceptable sizes.

    Items packed flat

    Minimum size: 140 x 90mm
Maximum size: length, width or height less than 600mm
Length + width + height: less than 900mm
How long is 600mm? Roughly as long as two sheets of (A4) paper laid end to end.

    Items rolled up

Minimum size: length + (diameter x2) must be more than 170mm (with the greatest single dimension more than 100mm)
Maximum size: length + (diameter x2) must be less than 1040mm (with the greatest single
    dimension being less than 900mm)

OP you will need to use a carrier if items are larger - there are suggestions on the parcel delivery thread.

I see there is a minimum size given for international. We had a thread recently where something was refused at a PO for being too small. Maybe this is where that came from.
