where is best free place to sell my car

ive got a car for sale and was wondering where the best place to put an advert preferably free. iv tried we buy any car, they gave me a ridiculous price, iv put ads on preloved and a couple of other free ad sites. i will make posters to go in car windows. any other ideas please.

    Local paper, shop windows (although shops often charge a couple of quid a week).

    I would suggest that you get what you pay for. Nothing wrong with the suggestions above, but most free places will also offer a higher profile advertising space for a fee. So how well publicised will your car be?

    If you're in no rush, by all means try the free ones first. But I'd suggest that it's worth setting aside £20ish to advertise properly in a publication that reaches a wider readership online and magazine.

    No point advertising free for 3 months (in online places that are effectively hidden behind adverts for those who have paid a small fee) and seeing your car depreciate by 10% when £20 makes you more likely to get a quick sale.
