If your youngest is under 7 you would be entitled to claim Income support, you would also get CTC, CB, CTB, Child support from father and if IIRC SMI after 13 weeks on your mortgage.

Rules came in a few years back that you can keep all your maintenance and it won'y have any effect on benefit entitlement as long as you remain under the savings threshold of £6,000.
Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.
  • its a good job i m poor then!! i thought you could only keep say £20 off it a week.

I would say you'll be much better off than most, that's without your child maintenance.

No you get to keep all child support payments without it affecting any of your benefits. New rules came into force in April last year IIRC.
