Morning all, I’m a long time lurker first time poster, and I’m a DTDaholic :j

I’ve been DTDing since the start of the promotion and have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.

I stumbled onto this forum after having several vouchers come back capped at the £100 limit, it’s nice to know I’m not alone with my addiction ;)
Many thanks to all those who have contributed to this thread, it’s been really helpful and very entertaining. It’s really great to know that so many people out there are prepared to help each other out in order to maximise the benefits this promotion offers us.

It’s been sad to see a bit of paranoia/selfishness creep into the tread in regards to the spreadsheets, so many people have contributed to them in order for everyone to benefit, which seems to be the purpose of this forum, and the one reason it works so well.

I know full well that had this promotion not been picked up so enthusiastically by the users of this forum, something which was never going to happed due to the super savvy shoppers on here, chances are I’d still be happily spending £100+ vouchers. That said I can honestly say that I prefer the fact that this promotion has been so widely used by people all over the country, even though it’s probably cost me a couple of years supply of free wine, as without so many people like us we couldn’t have reduced the shopping bills of millions of people. It’s great to know that Tesco have had to respond to our DTDing by dropping hundreds of prices across the board, which in turn has helped out millions of unknowing customers :T

There seems to be a bit of misinformation floating around in regards to fraud and terms and conditions, which hopefully I can help to clarify. People that have knowingly been using vouchers which have already been used, have committed an act of fraud, there’s no real difference between using a voucher which has been knowingly used and handing over a £20 note which you know is a forgery, doing either will land you in court when you are caught, and given the amount of CCTV in use in Tesco it will only be a matter of time before you are identified.

The terms and conditions which are form part of this promotion are just that, they are not law and you are not breaking the law by breaching those terms, the onus is on Tesco to enforce those terms, if they choose not to then that is their issue not ours.

I’ll end this rather long winded post with my first contribution :D, Grant’s Whisky 350ml and Gordon’s 350ml gin, both currently £8.79 at Tesco, two for £12 at Asda. Total cost after DTD = £3.21 each which works out at £9.18 per l. You can also sweeten this slightly by purchasing four and using a £5 off £30 spend Co-op conditional spend, which lowers the price to £2.54 each or £7.25 per l. I have only purchased these in matching sets, so can’t confirm if you can mix and match. It’s not quite as good as the £2.50 Jameson, but the best DTD Whisky or Gin deal currently going. My latest confirmation of this deal was Sunday.

    Happy DTDing everyone

    welcome to mse! :)

nice post and thanks for the deal!

did you start writing 2 hours ago though? ;)

The voucher Terms and Conditions state that "this voucher can only be used once." So again I'd argue its not fraud just very very underhand.

    Hi Guys,
Quick question. If a product is showing a price at Asda but with a comment saying out of stock, do you kno wif DTD will still work, or will it come back as N/F?
I quite like the Nivea lotion adn would like to get another. It's showing as £1 at A, but there is a * next to it, saying out of stock. £5.21 is an awful lot to spend at T.
    Thanks,
    Mo.

Anything showing as out of stock tends not to be compared. If they're showing as out of stock on mysupermarket it's worth checking if they're showing on the asda website - if it's not on asda it won't be compared. Keep checking though as it may return! :j

Welcome to the forum and thank you so much for your contribution!

You've written in a few lines what I've told everyone (and there have been many) who PM me in an attempt for me to remove the SS from general viewing.

Yes, I'd like to be spending £100 vouchers day in day out but ultimately, I'm happy that so many people on here, and all those blissfully unaware, are now getting their shopping cheaper.

OF - First time poster, if you'd like to join and edit the SS and make a real contribution, please PM me your GoogleDocs e-mail.

I hope everyone is enjoying the DTD promotion.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
