Tesco/Asda Pricechecker finds here (Thread 2)

Panic not people (well not about the article anyway), it is a discussion piece about Tesco having to backtrack on their Double the Difference promotion, imposing the £20 limit and revised General Term (36) on Thursday that they reserve the right to withhold, issue or redeem a voucher if they suspect a customer is abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme. It draws specific attention to this thread (hello :silenced:).

Just got back from today's DTD shop, dragged oh with me so we went round with 2 baskets and went to different checkouts each armed with a voucher
Philleas Fogg crisps have clearly just been re-stocked in my local tescos, shelf was almost empty the other day!
I've just arranged my bathroom shelf and I though I'd share this picture with you all of some of my DTD stash.. I've only be DTDing for a week and have been recycling 2 voucher and doing 2 shops a day. I also have about 13 packs of philleas foggs crisps, along with a fair few yougherts and cornettos!
Please excuse my extremely shabby bathroom shelf/wall - the whole house needs re-deccorating (or knocking down and rebuilding!) - hopefully with all the money I'm saving with DTDing I can get some of the jobs done a bit sooner0 -
Found this on the main T site:
Interestingly, they compare prices against Ocado!

Sneaky beggars. If they change their pricecheck system to pricecheck against Ocado, then we're 'beggared'!
It's probably been put online to counter the claims that they took it offline to stop us 'doing our thing', and all the other things that were in the media.
This way they can say 'look, we do have an online pricechecker'.
Sorry Mr T, won't work. Comparing against what is arguably the most expensive supermarket just to make yourself look cheaper won't stop us from knowing you are more expensive, but in sneaky ways.Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

If they did pull the dtd promotion part of me will be relieved that I can have my life back again.
As long as they don't end it in an underhand way I will be happy to remain shopping at tesco. I've inputted a few normal shops where everything is compared and tesco has come out cheaper.
It can't really carry on for much longer. The spreadsheet has been great but I fear that so many more will go for dtd shops. Beforehand everyone I told couldn't be bothered to do the research. They don't need to now. Its all been done for them. I'm not criticising the spreadsheet as it must have been a mammoth task. And I have benefitted from it.weight loss target 23lbs/49lb0 -

The rack of lamb would still work though, I was in Waitrose yesterday and theirs looked much nicer and half the price. Same price as Asda.0
