I have to say I think I'm suffering from post traumatic double the difference disorder!

Tesco has sucked me into this to such a degree that I've broken the T&C's (smacks own wrist and won't be doing so this month). Also I've bought loads of stuff I wouldn't normally, at very inflated prices. I would NEVER pay over 10 quid for a bottle of wine for example. Yeah I know I've been able to recycle the receipts but doing so only reduces the wine to 5 quid a bottle and one has to recycle the receipt a third time to get the price down to the 3 for a tenner type of level and tesco even make money at that price!! Think about it, you were still buying 3 bottles for a tenner, just over a different timeframe thats all. Very clever marketing.

I've noticed too how many of those wines were all dusty on the shelves and how some of the other items which offered good DTD were obscure items which possibly needed to be shifted. There's a price war going on too in the air freshener aisle where such things in the credit crunch are now considered as luxury items yet Mr T has managed to get us to pay over 6 quid for a jar with a bit of smelly liquid in and a few twigs sticking out the top! Top marks for marketing Tesco!

Don't get me wrong, its a good deal and I have done very well from it, but then so have tesco as they've had more real money off me this month than they usually would in 6 months. I think I've just got a little bored now though with buying packets of crisps and blocks of cheese. I've still got two vouchers and to be honest, can't be bothered to use them, although I probably will at some point over their 28 day lifespan.

Its been fun too watching people bend the rules and where their lines in the sand get drawn so to speak. I've no time for the people reusing vouchers or doctoring them, thats just plain lazy as most things illegal are. But having an email address for each of your goldfish and claiming they are not related to you so not your 'household' is in my book no different to how Tesco ramped up the price of my fave beer recently from 2.44 to 2.99 then a couple of months later claim a NEW LOW PRICE of yes, you guessed it, 2.44 or how they try to confuse us with dubious weight comparisons etc.

I will of course continue to do this, but on a much smaller scale. I wonder if Tesco half expected this and now expect the enthusiasm overall to wane over the next couple of months?

Just a few alcohol fuelled ramblings. Have a good weekend everyone....nite nite.

So how does using/exploiting this deal square with Martin's mantra of not buying/spending on things you don't need?

Thank you such much looby for those kind words. At the moment I am involved with the lady that I thought was a stalker but this appears to merely a misunderstanding as we were merely looking at the same items in Mr Cohen's fine establishment.

The last time that we met she was looking at:
    PERSIL POWDER NON BIO 50WSH/4.25KG £ 9.00 £ 7.00
and I named her Persephone and thought of her as my "Siren of the Suds".

    I had a wombled receipt for 1p!

Given the abolition of the halfpenny in 1984, this should not be possible? :D

Hoping vouchers come through today after inputting totally new receipts last night on brand new email last night - I got THE email yesterday re: two from 30/3/11 so fingers crossed - !!
Nipping out to try for Thorntons Eggs this morning too!
Just a note if anyone is worried about IP address recognition - if you have a wireless router at home you can reset the IP addresses by unplugging it and plugging it back in - so if anyone feels that paranoid about the IP like I do reset it!
