Well what a fiasco i have just had trying to use a £20 capped voucher!!
I went to my local, did my shopping, mostly DTD items naturally, lol
I picked my cashier (biggest mistake)!
after she scanned my shopping, i handed over the voucher, she hadnt seen one before, i told her that she had to simply check against the original receipt and scan the coupon..... she wasnt happy with this as the original receipt was for 2 turners, so, original receipt for 19.98 voucher for £20 she couldnt understand why i had a voucher that was for more than my receipt so she called a team leader over to verify it, the team leader didnt have a clue what she was talking about and said she could only give me 19.98 off my shopping, then after a bit of umming and arrhing, the team leader spotted the store manager and called him over, he then examined the voucher word for word and turned round to me and told me i had to go to ASDA to spend it!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

After explaining how the system works to all 3 members of staff the manager then decided to scan the coupon to `see what happens` and a box came up where the cashier had to input the amount of the voucher, and she inputted 19.98, i wasnt prepared to stand and argue over coppers, but please Tesco, if you are reading this, get a grip!

:rotfl::rotfl: I had same experience, but CS at the till and the manager later told me that I need to bring not Tesco receipt , but ASDA receipt.
So I have to find ASDA shop buy stuff there and then come back to tesco buy from them and if it is difference then they it works.
But if this the case I said how do I have voucher?:rotfl:
They went nuts as it was late evening and HO was closed , they had to figure out themself and I was standing and enjoying they stupidity and every 5 minutes they were changing minds and ideas what to do with it.
Well it took near 45 min and it was nearly 23:30 . Security guard was shifting around , but I was standing there like Napoleon and didnt move untill they get how to procced it.
As I have done another DTD shop:rotfl:.
Sure items were different from the old receip that lets say they could claim I did same shop yesterday and today.
Well M called from his mobile to someone maybe friend this time or other DTD;er and said its ok.
I had to pay extra 2 pounds as shop was for 22 , but confused them so much that CS gave me back 2 ponds not me :T
So left the shop like I'm celebrity take me out of here.:T:kisses:

Just got back from Tesco Kings Lynn and they now confiscated the cash back vouchers if they have ANY KIND OF returns on them!!!
Doesn't matter if the return has nothing to do with DTD it will still be taken!!!

I TOOK BACK A JUMPER AND THEY TOOK MY £20 VOUCHER!! No good arguing they said instructions had come down from head office and as the vouchers all belong to Tesco this is what they will be doing from now on!!
The manager showed me the memo which said too many people were abusing the offer so returns have to be stopped as if they don't stop the cash back offer WILL BE PULLED!!

that makes sense i suppose, doesnt stop you using your voucher then returning an item off the old reciept does it? i mean if there was genuinely something wrong for example your jumper

Yes it does as they keep the DTD vouchers in the till when you use them :(
:) If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours, :)

:) It wont cost you anything! :)

Don't get it. Do you mean they took your receipt when returning stuff? How can they take your voucher.... ? I mean, If I am going to return things, I won't bring my voucher. How would they know you have vouchers anyway?! LOL

By the way, those who returns stuff which came up as N/F are plain spoil sports. Win much, lose some. Accept it. All part of the game and excitement me thinks. I have a 12.24 bottle of Olay which was N/F and on my first ever serious DTD shop too. Well, I am using it now and 'raking' in the other stuff via DTD. I just made sure I double checked everything before I go :D So far so good.

I've learnt today to never go into Tesco when stressed.

Messed up on the Dettol and Harpic....

Snagged every Lamb though so made up for it a little.

The SA wasn't too impressed with me using vouchers either. In fact she was quite agressive and rude about it all almost accusing me of being a thief.

Oh well, i guess ill go back later and purchase all their Nobilo wine and Pancake mix.
  • I have still not had yesterdays vouchers through email (I printed them through the price check website). Same today too. Very odd.
