Is anybody surprised just how few people have caught on to this promotion. Especially after being on the BBC etc

I keep going expecting my Lucozade, Teabags, Jammie Dodgers etc to be down to their last one. But the shelves are full.

I've tried explaining it to friends but they generally say "oh but they've done DTD for a long time if they overcharge you at the till" :lipsrseal

Forgot about that - they did state to the Press that it would be back up and running 'sometime this week', didn't they?

The Kleenex Classic Velvet Tissues are ace,

    £1.99 at T and £1.00 at Asda

If you open them there is a 50p off voucher inside making them FREE

Wayhey, these are definitely going on my list for tomorrow!!!! :D
Oh dear! I have 2 little boys (both under 2) and have listened to them squabbling all day over who loves Fireman Sam more and whose T shirt had more pasta down it (this is apparently impressive to them)...so I would love it if everyone could stop nitpicking and just drop it. We are all benefiting. If people wish to talk about things they are doing let them. I don't see why involving ourselves in what others do is so important. Everyone has different moral codes and reads rules differently. Leave them to it. This deal will end no matter what we do. Some people may end up in jail doing a life stretch for returning roasting pans, while others will be giving bottles of free wine to their grandma's for Christmas until 3011. Please can we all just play nice?

Well said, post of the day imho! Let's heed this wise woman's words. :T:T:T:T:T

Same here, I am gobsmacked by how many DTD items are on the shelves each time I go in. Especially the 'free' items such as the Gillette razors. :rotfl:

  • Yikes! Just got back from big tesco to spend my £20 voucher on more dtd stuff. Got to the check out, really nice cashier but she hadn't seen one before. Was literally pooping myself when she called supervisor over (never happened before) but she just smiled said its fine just scan it through. Looked at me and said 'oooh you've done really well there, I've only seen two before one for £3.00 and one for £0.02!!! Had to try and hide a smile as OH was stood behind me with a £34 one from last week!!! Spent the larger one on a normal grocery shop, can't believe how hard that was!

Odd thing is, even the supervisor didn't tell here to sign or retain my old receipt, the cashier just said 'oooh I best give you that back.' I've used countless vouchers now and yet to have one signed, just keep binning them so I don't get them mixed up.

Did you explain that they've been overcharging them at the till for several decades (when compared to ASDA)?

I would love to use this, but am scared to try lol!
Correct. On the first incarnation of this thread, a Board Guide actually intervened to state that the entire thread/discussion would be pulled if talk of ways to circumvent the system continued as MSE cannot afford the legal fees to take on Tesco in the courts (should it come to that).

I'm sure everyone would agree that it's best to play nice if we want the thread to stay. That's the last I'll say on the subject as I do want to continue being a proud DTDer!

    Thanks for the reminder. :A
