if you read the article it states that asda and tesco say its legal. you can womble for DTD vouchers but not clubcard points.

"Under both supermarkets' price guarantee schemes, it doesn't matter who has bought the groceries all you need to do is enter the code from a valid receipt. In fact, Asda and Tesco say what Stephen does is legal"

It doesn't exactly say that. :p;) It says that

'This contrasts with Tesco's attitude to wombling a few years ago when some customers tried to use others' receipts to top up their Clubcard balance, which Tesco deemed to be against its rules'

So it is in black and white that they will accept DTD, but it doesn't confirm if it is or isn't acceptable 'today' to womble for clubcard points.

    so wombling is ok now?

I got £3.20 through for a wombled receipt from the other day, it's great and I think from now on I will also donate the equivalent of any wombled plus so much of my own 'earnings'.

Sorry to hear that :( Hope you are okay. It's horrible, don't know what to do with myself, am trying to do my college work but keep coming back to here. Feel stupid for even opening my big mouth in the first place, ah well, you live and learn.

They are hardly going to say different with it being for charity, but I bet they are thinking of poss changes, especially Asda.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

We'll agree to differ. It said it wasn't accepted a few years back - not whether it is or isn't today. But the chances are it isn't. We'll move on ;)

  • if i didn't have laringitus (the OH is loving it and even 2year old DS has realized he can do what he likes and as long as he doesn't make eye contact, i cant tell him to stop/put it down!!), i would be singing this at the top of my little lungs...Underground, overground, wombling free, The Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we, Making good use of the things that we find, Things that the everyday folks leave behind...
