Morning all......supposed to be lovely day here, but it's a bit grim right now...was hoping to fish later...
Another Daily comp win for me, just checked my emails and won a 6 month Premium Spotify account , I do have an iPod but prefer the radio so will pass this on to my son...only entered for the first time yesterday , think someone once popped up on here and offered invites but then as now I had/have no idea exactly what it is,but my son talked about it the other day so thought I'd give it a go....hope you are all still entering comps...I'm sending good luck vibes....
I took your advice bully, and have entered a few comps every day. Not won anything yet, but keep hoping.
I won a few times on the old Barclays comp and of course the the dreaded velvet comp, but am not a generally lucky person, but I keep trying.
Glad you won another prize, hope your son likes it.:T:T:T

Have had nothing but aggro in the 2 yrs i've lived here, last winter boiler wasn't working properly, did some repairs and didn't finish them - still not done,. letting agent/landlord say can't move as on fixed term tenancy till June 12th - Completely fed up now and very very cross.:mad::mad:
Dawnie, suggest you check with CAB you are within your rights to move as the house is in-habitable! looks like you have a sham letting agent too!!! It is their responsibility to put thing right for the tenant as they take monthly commission from the landlord.

Implied terms of tenancy agreements &
Sham tenancy agreements:
The rights laid down by law always override those which are stated in a written or oral agreement. An agreement which suggests that you or your landlord have less rights than those given by common law or statute is a sham tenancy agreement.
What an agreement states and what the tenancy actually is may be different. For example, your landlord may claim that an assured tenancy is in fact an assured shorthold tenancy (short assured tenancy in Scotland), or that the agreement is not a tenancy agreement but a ‘licence to occupy’.
In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but not in Scotland, you may also have signed an agreement stating that the property was granted under a licence to occupy. This is not enough to make the agreement a licence.
If you are in any of these situations you should consult an experienced adviser, for example, at a Citizens Advice Bureau. To search for details of your nearest CAB, including those that can give advice by email, click onnearest CAB.

Dawnie - good advice from my sis Dr W-W. I think you should check with CAB to clarify your legal position. Shame you lost your new house but why not ring the agent and ask to be kept on their books in case it falls through for new tenant but carry on looking for another property and hopefully something will turn up that is more suitable. Fingers crossed for you - take care.0
