Oh, just a bit of a warning - I'm sure it was accidental - but the Checkout operator forgot to give me my receipt today. I had moved away when I remembered and had to go back and ask. This is the first time it has happened, as they normally give me my receipt back with my clubcard. Just be aware ;)

Well I bought a Kindle.:) Had a largish voucher and because I was so stressed decided to use it for something special. I have kept to the £100 limit and used my debit card and club card (I want the points!)...

Did a shop Thursday night and because I wasn't really in the mood mainly bought offers and some whisky(!). For a future present. Thought it would be capped at the £20 but expected it to be less, yet this morning I get a DTD voucher for double. I seem to better at this when I don't think about it!

BTW had a lovely older woman (not a trout at all), serve me when buying the Kindle. Yay for the older woman! :TShe was being discouraged by another SA from putting through the 2 MOC's from NOTW, but insisted, saying "I might as well try." She was really pleased for me. It was her first DTD voucher and I explained about signing the receipt (which she had checked), and she said " you know more than I do." Anyway, because she was so nice I didn't want her getting into trouble for future DTD's receipts.

Then I did a normal shop, and I find it really hard work not to buy offers, so just got what I wanted. Went to a checkout with a young lad, and he said the NOTW MOC coupon wouldn't scan, so he called the supervisor and she scanned it no problem. The thing is when I got home, I noticed he had scanned it! So £5 x 2 off... :)

Just wanted to thank all of you for sharing and being so kind. I wouldn't know all this about MOC's etc if it wasn't for you. It's very much appreciated.:A:A:A

Thanks Dr.Who-Who, I got some of the Magners cider which was mentioned the other day but don't understand why we have to put other 'bits and pieces' in to disguise the shop if we play by the rules? I put a chicken in, just to be on the safe side - I hope! Will try to work my dtd out later when DD comes for tea.
I'll come and visit you if your banished to the drivel thread.

Me go pay a visit:rotfl: note to self :- just pop to check on you guys "drivel" still full of carp! :D . Don't mixed your daily shopping with dtd shopping. Today I split 3 shops : paid : 18p, 14p & 62p:o all using dtd vouchers & all dtd items from post 48. Only bought what I want.

    Gillette, merlot, kitkat, oatibix.

Not sure I can take much more of this DTDing!

I've only been doing one or two items each time as afraid I might get caught out but even so find it really stressful. Remembering not to use your clubcard, not to pick up any bargains, having cash to pay with and then the wait to see if it all worked out. Really admire those of you doing big shops but much prefer just staying well under the radar.
One item I am buying is Huggies Drynites. (T £4.50 or 2 for £8, A £3) so just £1.50 with DTD and only 50p with coupon on first page.
I sent away for the sample but when it came the £1 coupon expired Dec 2010. Rang them and they sent me 2 x £1 as replacements

Girl, I know what you mean. I made a right moo of myself when I got my maths wrong, and I'm a flamin' accountant! It's so embarrasing when they say you can't use it cos you haven't spent enough and then like SUPERMARKET SWEEP you dash around and pick something up which you don't even need. I'm gonna give it a rest for a while. Good luck to everyone else though.

Well after my two £10 wins last night on the velvet comp could only find one of my receipts. I think one of the ones that the Tesco SA took off me last week must have had my spend on it.

Talking of buttons, still not found any milky bar buttons, has anyone else?

Found them in one random Asda (but the majority of other Asda stores near me don't have them) and found them in Morrisons ;)

Re Alcohol - Does anyone know which is the best spirits to buy with a good DTD please.

Pretty sure there was a good DTD on 1L Barcardi the other day. Not sure if prices have since changed though

blimey what a result for me...saw a really nice coffee maker a while back, it was originally £69.99 and it was reduced in T's to £59.99....thought it a bit expensive as we only have coffee in a morning and the one I have does still work but the light has stopped working and we keep forgetting to switch it of....so decided against it....then last month they had them for £39.99, but the box was huge and if i had put it in my trolley I would not have got anything else in...so did my shopping intended to go back for it...totally forgot, went home and thought I'd order it online and have it delivered to the store....came up discontinued...went back to store ...all gone....typical...they have been £49.99 in Argos but not this lovely red colour I liked......went out just now to get some Dulux paint...£15.99 in B&Q and only £9.99 in Tesco, had got this NOTW moc in the post, so thought I do another DTD shop,....got the paint and in the next aisle there was this coffee machine...£40...meant to be thought me, so asked lovely male where they were as could only see one on display...checked for me and said they had all gone , asked for the one on display and was told they could not sell it me as it had no box and all ex display stuff is sold to staff....so i asked him for his jacket and said for him to pretend I worked there....assistant manager came over ,and took me to Direct Desk, checked stock, confirmed it was discontinued and offered it to me without the box for £30.....SOLD....Direct Desk Sa took my £5 NOTW , which cost me nowt ...and so got it for £25...was meant to be peeps...its quite flashy really, got a timer, bit like teasmade, so can be set to have coffee ready when you wake up....best thing is have just downloaded instructions off the net....what a great bargain day for me....
