Was good while it lasted peeps....the one thing I have learned from this is that Asda have some great offers...this has changed my mind totally...I have never liked shopping in Asda but after seeing their prices I think I will try a main shop there, after I have used my last £20 DTD voucher and the giftcard that is on it's way at T's ...I was a Tesco points fan , but have changed my deal with Eon and no longer get points , changed back to BT from Tesco Homephone, so no points there....booked with Thomas Cook , so no need for points use there....got enough rewards should we decide to holiday in Ireland and need a ferry crossing ....used them for specs for both of us and still got enough for a few other things....but if I can save real money by shopping for the best prices on stuff at Asda and maybe Sainsburys or Morrisons, then I shall make the effort, there is not much difference in distance.....I'm glad Tesco did this promotion, it has really shown me how expensive they are even when they have offers, 'cos their offers aren't as good as Asda's....Asda seem to have a lot of stuff at £1.....so now we have Pre Black Friday and ...let me think...what can this be....Pre Royal Wedding......lol....Pre DTD Friday...it will be now...

I agree. I have always liked Asda but none near me, but definitely worth going once a month. I'm pretty horrified at some of T's prices! Will shop around much more instead of just taking the easy option as so many T's near me.

Problem is I can't install the coupon printer. I uninstalled after BF but tried a day ago to reinstall but no joy. A prompt flashes up super quick that I am unable to read or it saus all done successfully but it isn't?
Can anyone enlighted me as to what I am doing wrong?
I too got the email for McCain so would like to print them.

    TIA
    Hogshead

    Hi Hoghshead

googled your problem, seems a lot of people are having it!

Here is an answer for firefox that may help you

My son had me check the Internet Options in the Control Panel. The Internet Options had something clicked that I had not chosen, as if it was an automatic assumption by the newest Firefox. I had to unclick it. Here is what I did:
Close Firefox. Then On your computer, Click the START BUTTON, then choose INTERNET OPTIONS, then CONNECTIONS, then check to see if the option LAN SETTINGS is clicked. If it is UNCLICK IT. Do not click any other options there. Close the panel.
Now you can re-open FireFox and go to the coupons page. When I did and clipped the coupons I desired to print, they automatically were sent to my printer and I was able to print them for the first time in weeks. I'd been about pulling my hair out trying to figure this out on

I have a netto, Sainsbury and Waitrose near me. Everything else including Morrisons, Asda are bus rides away and I was shopping at Tesco and rather than pay for a cab back home, at a cost of £5, I was trying to carry 6 carrier bags of shopping on the bus with DS, asking him to hold my hand to cross road, etc.

So looks like it will be back to comparing prices at Lidl, Netto, Sainsbury and Waitrose and doing my shopping like that.

Might have to start venturing to Morrisons on the bus but only doing smaller shops.

Partmouse, sorry to hear about your accident. You should really go to the dr and report it, and get a report.

Then have a look where it happened, are there any CCTV cameras around? If so, contact the company that own them and ask if there is any footage of your accident.

If there is, you could use this to claim against the person who hit you. I am not one of these who claims for every accident, etc but this sounds very serious, and the least they could have done is stop to check you were ok!

    Hope you feel better soon.

Byatt, hope you feel better too.

Gill, pleased to hear you are on the mend.

Me, toothache, can't afford £280 to get root canal done, and no he won't do on NHS. So have to live with pain until I can afford it.

DS is feeling better but have now caught his cold on top of toothache!

  • My days not going great

My undelivered parcel was some boring data sheets for my husband from work, not a competition win and even worse, THE END OF DTD.

Hey ho I'll just have to eat my Cadbury Heros, wash my hair with Herbal Essences and have lovely soft Comfort washing. Good while it lasted.

phew, just back from a mad last minute dash to T's for final 2 dtds. Mixed feelings about it, sad it's over but I was coming out of the frenzy anyway and I don't think the house / OH would take much more! So good while it's lasted and I'm very happy with the savings I made.

My thoughts exactly - missed out on buying a couple of things that I needed/wanted today :( but it was taking over my life with all the planning  Excellent while it lasted...

Have to agree though about prices - Asda and Morrisons just keep their prices low instead of having a loyalty card like clubcard.
