Funeral plan

I have a funeral plan and dont know how to 'drop it into conversation' with my son. As my next of kin he needs to know, he also needs to know he does not have to worry about funds when my time comes.
When I have tried to bring the subject up he just laughs and says 'you am not going anywhere'.

Then you have to get tough!!

"Yes, I know I am not going anywhere but you will listen to me over this, OK?"

Or perhaps chat to the daughter in law (if there is one?) and let her know this stuff.

Or if he continues to ignore you, then just drop it into obscure conversation,

"Mrs Gope down the road was curtain twitching when that girl came out of the house, so I bought a pre-paid funeral plan for myself, there wont be any costs to you and with the paperwork in my pink filing cabinet."

He heard you!..... it's just not a discussion he wants to have because he doesn't want to lose you. Lucky you.

Leave instructions as a document, and tell him where it is. No discussion needed.

That is the best advice I think.
