I also fell for this with a company called Magic Finance.
After promising me a loan of £10k I had to pay £70 to receive the loan. Surprise surprise when I paid it they didn't send me any details of loan companies who were willing to lend me this much. the most I got was an offer of £3K with a guarantor.
Having just spoken to them on the phone, they say I have to file a satisfaction questionnaire, send it off and wait for them to contact me within 6 weeks before I can have my money back... LESS admin fees of course.
In my eyes this isn't acceptable. The chap on the phone was extremely flippant, nonchalant and smug. How is it fair that these companies prey on those who are in financial dire straits and are allowed to get away with it!?
Is there anywhere more official that I can do something abou this? It's about time these people were put out of business!!!shingy1234 wrote: »Hi Everyone, afer being scammed by 3 loan brokers to the tune of £190 I have been doing research to stop anyone elese getting scammed by these fools on the internet. If it stops 1 person getting scammed then I will be happy. The first 3 I have lost £60 to and still have not got a penny back!
YES LOANS LTD
WELCOME LOANS LTD
LOAN GOGO
UNSECURED LOAN COMPANY
HORIZON FINANCE
WENTWORTH FINANCE DIRECT
CHURCHILL FINANCE LTD
BEST 4 LOANS
NO WORRY LOANS LTD
ONE STOP MARKET
LOAN 2 LOAN

If anyone else can add to the list please feel free to contribute. I am going to build a case and pass them all on to the authorities. These pretend brokers need stopped. Also, if anyone tries to be smart and go on about there dodgy terms & conditions I have already tried writing to Yes Loans and Welcome Loans asking for my refund. They both sent me the same letter saying I deserve to loose £60 pound because I lied to them and wasted there time! What a bunch of cowboys!0 -
We outed one company on here not long ago.
It was completely a fictitious company. The Company number belonged to an Audi Lease Car Company, the Consumber Credit License belonged to a different, but unrelated, Payday Loan company, basically an out and out scam.
It takes 5 minutes to knock up a website, you can make it as pretty as you like, it seems the prettier it is, the more likely people will call and throw money at them.
Or, you can pay £750 for a Consumer Credit License to make you look more "above board" and do the same thing.
Or, you can register as a legit company with a genuine registered number, proper domain name complete email address AND pay your £750 for your CCL and do the same thing.
Whichever option you choose, there are hundreds of people who will ring you and pay you money, all you have to do is flannel them on the phone "guaranteeing" their loan, the better you are at waffling, the more people will throw you money.
Even if you have a conscience, all you have to do is pass their details onto the other scamming broker sites, PDL sites and Secured Loan Guarantor sites (at least the customer will get some calls)
Shut one down, it will open the next day with a different name and continue scamming.
Scammers have walked this Earth since the dawn of time, this is a simple variant and one which can be EASILY defeated.
A Google search takes mere seconds to reveal the scam, a post on MSE takes minutes at most before someone will reply and identify them as scammers.
You HAVE to take precautions when giving out your bank details, the World cannot pretect you from making your own decisions.
I'm sure you'd all soon get grumpy if you were stopped from making your own choices with your money.0 -
You can add these companies as well: City Financial Uk, More Finance and Loans4you London Limited all are a scam0

Not being mean but I actually enjoy seeing people ripped off by these blatant crooks.
In fact, I've almost opened one myself just to get a few k in from these poor suckers who wants cars, weddings, boob jobs to keep some smelly bloke or expensive electronic shat."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
Falling for the scam once could be said to be unfortunate, but to fall for the same scam 3 times says more about the gullibility of the op than about the scammers. Especially in view of the amount of threads on the same subject to be found on this forum.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
"I saw 100%honestloans.co.uk" and thought great, maybe they'll give me some money so I can waste it on some shat......now they've taken our last few quid, my bank details have been sold to Eastern Europe and my family can't eat.....well pleased" Jim - Norwich
"I had bad credit and thought I'd never get a loan and do you know what, I was right.....100%honestloans.co.uk sorted me out good and proper and now my kids got to school in sack cloth....what a result" Nicola - Bradford"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
