Why don't people read the title & desc?

Recently sold something that in the title had, "small"
In the description, "small" along with the height, depth & width in both inches & cms.
Just noticed in the feedback "it's very nice but small".:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Could be worse, a few years ago I got a neutral as buyer said my small wedgwood plate was 'too small'. I must admit that I was a tad naughty as I left her a neutral back (remember the old days with the tit for tat feedback!) and said 'how big did you want your 3 inch dish then?'

I was lucky though as for most of her other sellers she left negs for other daft things like 'colour of dress doesn't suit me'

  • I don't sell much on ebay now but I was very annoyed for a woman who left neg feedback saying "delivery too slow" when I'd gone out my way to accept a cheque on the basis that she had to wait for it to clear - and she was warned there was a postal strike too. Silly cow.

I once had someone in Belgium complain that the text in a book I sold them was too small

... for a moment I considered selling magnifying glasses on ebay to the Belgian market, but decided against it

... I probably would only have received complaints that the magnifying glasses were too heavy or, oh I dunno, too 'glassy' or something! :)

That made me laugh. A couple I can remember are a papier-mâch! item I sold (by auction not BIN) - received a neg saying 'I thought this would be wood for the price' and another item was a wall hanging xmas card holder (listed as 'with loop on back for hanging on the wall'). Neg feedback said 'I thought this was floor standing - photo made it look better than it was'. David Bailey will be quaking in his boots!

So you're to blame for the "positive only" feedback now!

    Probably, I couldn't resist.

This buyer had left a stream of neutrals and negatives for just about every seller they had dealt with

I once sold a length of linen. The word 'linen' appeared about 4 times in the description (finely woven linen etc etc). I had a question asking whether it was pure linen; replied that it was. That was the winning buyer. Feedback was 'OK, but didn't really want linen'.
