Lloyds silver account breakdown cover, sigh

Cold and bored and in need of a rant...

Seems my car battery has died on me while in a parking lot about 2 miles from home. Good thing I have a Lloyds silver account, the AA will be with me in no time, or so I thought. They first quoted 1 hour 15 minutes, long, but it is Friday evening, so fair enough. I got a call after the 1 hour 15 minutes had passed asking me where exactly in Stevenedge I was, which was great, considering I'm in Northampton.

Now I have to wait another 2 hours because the Lloyds callcenter screwed up, to which they have admitted, but they can't (or more like won't) send somebody out any faster. I'm wondering what on earth I've been paying them for all this time :(

  • Having googled "Stevenedge" it comes up with nothing - especially not anywhere near Northampton. No wonder they were confused!

Typos reserved, that's just what they told me on the phone, might have misunderstood, but they certainly were nowhere near Northampton, the guy didn't even know where that was. They finally showed up, slightly earlier than quoted the second time, but I'm still rather fuming. Repeated the address of where I was three times during the first call and they still managed to mess it up...

Ring Lloyds and see what can be done for you :)
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

It's not the Lloyds call centre that have cocked up, when you ring through to the silver breakdown service, it goes straight through to the AA.

    smudge is right.

When you breakdown, why would Lloyds phonebank deal with you?? If you call them, they transfer you to the AA!!!!!
