Quick query for mechanics/anyone who knows about cars

Hi

Hoping someone on here can help. The exhaust on my car has 'dropped' and is now a few inches off the ground

Car passed MOT 2 weeks ago with no issues. I am taking it into a garage tomorrow but would appreciate some advice on likely costs.

I assume it just needs to be pinned back up to its original place and the costs should be minimal?

I am clueless when it comes to cars so could do with knowing whether, if the garage claim it's going to cost, £££'s, they are talking rubbish or not (had my fingers burnt before with a garage - obviously I'm going someone else tomorrow)

Thanks

You'll need to know if a part has broken or a rubber has just come out of its hanger. If its the latter most places will look for future business and do it FOC but a beer token wouldn't go amiss.

    Thank you

Hope it is the latter but if it's the former, any idea what I'd be looking at price wise?

to save yourself being ripped off, get a price for the job and ring around a couple of other places, most towns have a couple of exhaust/tyre centres.
