Little White Lies is about what happens when a bunch of old friends decide to go ahead with their annual beach holiday, despite one of the tightly-knit group being hospitalised after having a horrific motorbike accident. The ease of teenage summer holidays - where nothing's more complicated than who's checking you out at the beach - is long gone. The motorbike crash is a trigger amongst the gang of friends as the friction of age, individual experiences and dirty little secrets emerge and get in the way of a genuinely fun time. Relationships, convictions and friendships are tested - which at times is breezily funny and other times painful to watch. This is not a holiday you want to be on. Guillaume Canet, (Tell No One) directs an ensemble cast, featuring Marion Cotillard and François Cluzet in this nostalgic, middle-class comedy.

Little White Lies is in UK cinemas on Friday April 15, 2011.
