Orange Mobile - biggest bunch of muppets ever!

So, I've been having problems on my Orange branded Desire HD because the Your Orange App (which I useful when it works) has stopped working after a recent firmware update.
The issue is that the app cant be updated via the Andriod Market - I suspect because they have not signed their software package properly.
Anyway, I tried to phone orange to find out what was going on only to get into an argument for 40 minutes about where the app should be downloaded from.
At first I was told the app could only be downloaded directly from the Orange site - no matter how much I argued that it had to be downloaded from Android Market they wouldn't have it. If only they had read their own website which confirms what I was saying:
http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/personal/531397/3
Next I was told - actually, you have to download the app from the orange world app store. This sounded credible so I checked to see if it was there - it was not.
Then after I pointed this out they changed their story again Orange said they didn't support the Your Orange app because it was an HTC app and I should phone them. At this point I got a bit annoyed and asked to talk to someone who knew what they were talking about.
I then got the floor supervisor and the whole process started again. In the end I had to put the phone down before I exploded at the guy on the end of the phone.
So, not only are orange technically inept at developing apps their customer service department doesn't even know how to download their own app on an Android Phone.
Words fail me at how !!!!!! this is - how can customer service have reached such lows? Who the hell are they employing? Whoever they are I hope they aren't paying them. Complete and utter rubbish.

Might be worth rooting it. I got a san francisco which was orange branded. I rooted it, installed a custom froyo rom and it runs so much faster than it did when filled with orange bloatware, and the battery lasts longer, too.
I'd recommend backing up the default orange rom in clockwork first, though, so if anything goes wrong, you can always roll back.0 -
Indeed, I'm thinking rooting is looking more attractive by the day.0
