Hi has any one done this journey in the last few years .
I have done it in the 70’s when it was all Yugoslavia but a lot has gone on since then.
We are planning to come out of Italy and drive down the coast through Slovenia, Croatia ,Bosnia Herzegovina and would like to also go to Montenegro then back up to Dubrovnik and cross over to Bari and meander home through Italy and France.
We are planning on six weeks of travelling.
Any help or advice would be gratefully received

- Do you need visa’s for the countries not in the EU.?
- Are there any pitfalls to watch out for.
- Whilst my car insurance covers “Europe” I am not sure that covers non EU so I will have to check that
Any help or advice would be gratefully received

UK citizens don't require visas for any of the countries you've mentioned.
As a side note, it's not recommended to randomly drive around in the Albania-Kosovo border area, just in case you were planning that.0 -
Thanks for the visa advice and we have no intention of going anywhere near Albania or Kosavo.0

Check your insurance as some policies on cover 30 days abroad in one go.0
