Nintendo 3DS... quick profit

Cex, the game shop, is offering around £215-£230 in cash if you trade in the Nintendo 3DS.
It's available at supermarkets and other game shops for £175-£200. Noticed this in town (Exeter) today, and, if I had the time I'd of done it, a quick £30 odd profit.
Can't see any reason why it wouldn't work, let me know if anyone tries it!

Why does Cex do this?0

bear in mnid that price can drop at any time
so you may buy at £175 and find the price has dropped0 -
Be very careful with this company. The store in Ashford was found guilty of handling stolen goods - do a google search for other horror stories too. Personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole simply because I think that the shop name is totally inappropriate bearing in mind that a lot of kids shop there - but maybe that's just my old fashioned view.
seriously? its C E X
for Computer Exchange0 -

I've always thought that about the name. Thanks for the warning though, I'll have a lookWhy does Cex do this?bear in mnid that price can drop at any time

Very true, I'd say if you were to do it, buy and sell on the same day.0 -
I know what it stands for - but that's irrelevant! Most people say it as one word, not the initials, which is obviously very much what they intended as the logo even uses lower case! Anyway, it's just my opinion as a Mum - clearly it doesn't bother everyone.
Do they? I have always referred to it as C E X
Dont know how its relevant but thats my opinion as a father0 -

But that is not relevant to what the OP is suggesting? Walk in to CEX (pronounced cee-ee-ex) with a 3DS and walk out with a hand full of used notes - any seperate incidents of handling stolen goods does not affect this.
If the £215 is correct - £40 profit :beer:0 -
What has the world come to when people think the initials CEX are inappropriate, lmao! Glad you're not my mother, you must shield them from a lot if you find CEX bad.. dear lord. That's my opinion as a child protection services worker.
Anyway, be careful CEX will often say they often say they don't have the money in the till!0 -
Hmm, down to £200 on their website now for cash - higher for exchange

I have always reffered to it as C.E.X, BUt what is so wrong with a child using the word sex?
My opinion as a Dad
And as other posters said what has stolen goods got to with trading in a console for cash0
